Glenn "Lamar" Clark attended Chowan College from 1962-1964. Clark came to Chowan on a full scholarship to run track and play football for then head coach, Jim Garrison.Â
In 1962, Lamar helped the Braves to a 5-4-1 record his first year and a 8-2 record in 1963. He served as one of the three captains on the team in his sophomore season and was named All-Region Ten that same season.
After a stellar junior college career in both football and track, Lamar received a full scholarship to play football at Elon University where he had a very successful career.Â
?Upon graduating from Elon University Clark was hired as a sales representative for Binnings Building Products, where he remained for 24 years. He then began serving as the Director of Sales for PGT,Â
?Lamar now resides in Lexington, North Carolina with his wife, Mary.
