Welcome to Chowan University's Athletics Compliance website! As you know, the Compliance Office is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in meeting the standards of "institutional control" that are mandated by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As a Division II athletics program, Chowan University is obligated to uphold the rules and regulations that have been established to govern intercollegiate athletics participation in its 20Â varsity sports.
The Chowan University Athletics Compliance Office works to help educate its administrators, boosters, coaches, faculty, staff and student-athletes, regarding the basic requirements and guidelines that must be followed in order to help the Hawks be compliant with NCAA regulations.
This web site has been designed to provide a quick reference to important compliance-related topics. The objective is to explain and monitor compliance principles through the helpful links below and required forms. All NCAA legislation cannot be covered in a limited space such as this.
