Chowan University Athletics and Conference Sportsmanship Policies

Chowan University, Conference Carolinas, and the CIAA have taken steps to ensure that both the fan and student-athlete experience on game day is the best possible. Chowan, as well as other Conference Carolinas and Gulf South institutions, have adopted the NCAA Sportsmanship Policy and implement it  at every athletic event.

Chowan University wants to be recognized within the Conference Carolinas and Gulf South, and nationally for its good sportsmanship by our student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We expect our fans to cooperate in displaying good sportsmanship toward the participants, coaching and support staff members, and game officials. Fans, please do your part to make Chowan athletic events a safe and wholesome event for all in attendance. Please be aware that individuals throwing objects or participating in other acts in conflict with the Conference Carolinas and CIAA and NCAA Sportsmanship codes will be subject to ejection from athletic events.
