Dana Lewis Tucker was a Gold Glove first baseman for Chowan College and the softball program from 1991-1993. Under then head coach, Jack Goldberg, Tucker helped lead the Lady Braves in two of their most successful seasons as a junior college.

After spending two seasons with Chowan, Tucker was awarded an athletic scholarship to attend East Carolina University. At ECU she played two seasons on the varsity softball squad at both first base and in the outfield. She earned a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation at ECU and went on to work in that field upon graduation. She moved back to New Bern, NC and obtained a job with Sprint Communications in their sales department. She earned various awards for her work at Sprint.

Dana Tucker and her husband, Joe, live in New Bern, NC with their three boys Noah, Nathan, and Christian.
