The mission of the Chowan University Athletic Department is to provide an environment for student-athlete development that supports the pursuit of the highest level of success both athletically and academically. The Chowan University Athletic Department is committed to fostering an environment that is anchored in teaching, serving, competing, and exceling on and off the field of play.

Objective 1
Provide a student-athlete experience that reinforces the priority of the university's academic purpose with a commitment to high performing athletic programs.

Partner with the university and surrounding community.

Create an atmosphere where administrators, coaches, and student-athletes can develop competitive prowess, teamwork, respect, integrity, passion, loyalty, efficiency, and diversity.
