MURFREESBORO, N.C.- The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association named
Reed Low of Chowan University men's lacrosse to its Team of the Week for the week of February 23.
Low earned national recognition following standout performances in the Hawks' second and third contests. Against Tusculum University on February 17, he recorded five goals and one assist for six points while adding two ground balls. He followed that effort with a career-high eight goals and three assists for 11 points in a victory over Davis & Elkins College, shooting an impressive .800 on 10 attempts. Low also contributed two ground balls and a caused turnover in the win.
The Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada native has been a force on the field for the Hawks this season, leading the team in goals, points, and shots per game. Low also ranks atop Conference Carolinas in both goals per game (6.0) and points per game (7.33). The junior attackman has totaled 18 goals and 22 points through the opening stretch of the season.Â
Low and the Hawks aim to carry their early momentum into conference play Saturday, February 28, at 12:00 p.m. when they travel to face Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C.
