Women's Tennis
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan advanced to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play after defeating Emmanuel 5-4 and Erskine 9-0 over the weekend.
Doubles duo
Polina Novachuk and
Cynthia Carrier continue to defeat their opponents at the No. 1 doubles position with a 9-2 overall doubles record.
At the No. 3 singles match
Hanna Tarlouskaya will compete for the Blue and White after picking up the 6-4, 6-2 victory against the Lions.
Angelique Gouin will look to keep her momentum at the No.6 singles after defeating her opponent 5-7, 6-3, in a 6-4 tiebreaker to clinch the 5-4 win for the Hawks over Emmanuel.
ABOUT THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey enters the contest with a 7-8 overall record and 3-0 in league play. The Crusaders picked up their third straight win over Lees-McRae 8-1 on Saturday.
Belmont Abbey is led by Teagan McNamara at No.1 singles who holds a 4-6 singles record.
Men's Tennis
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan improved to 6-6 on the season and 2-1 in league action after picking up a 8-1 victory over Erskine College on Saturday afternoon.
The Hawks swept in doubles match for a strong 3-0 lead into singles play.
Sophomore,
Ghassan Alansi paced the Hawks at the No. 1 singles match def. his competitor 6-0, 5-7, 7-5.
ABOUT THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey heads into the contest with a 10-15 overall record and remains undefeated 3-0 in conference play.
The Crusaders earned their fourth straight win after defeating Lees-McRae 9-0 on Saturday.
