SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Chowan University men's and women's tennis team continued their road trip competing against Converse University in a conference matchup on 

Saturday afternoon.

Teams/Records: Chowan Women: 4-10 (1-6) | Chowan Men: 6-6 (3-3)

Women

In doubles, Feidi Abreu Rodriguez and Victoria Videla competed in the #1 spot, Aime Vera and Felicitas Grillo played at #2, and Diva Datta paired with Isabella Turner in the #3 spot. The Hawks dropped all three doubles matches as Converse collected the doubles point.

In singles, Marcia Aragon battled in the #1 spot, as Feidi Abreu Rodriguez played at the #2. Felicitas Grillo was in the #3 spot,  Aime Vera (#4), Victoria Videla (#5), and Diva Datta (#6). The Hawks fell in straight sets, as the Valkyries would pick up a 7-0 win.

Men

Marcel Ungerboeck and Tadeo Missan played in the #1 spot to open up doubles play, while David De Simon and Terumasa Inoue teamed up at #2. Thales Sette and Tadeo Sanchez rounded out doubles playing in the #3 spot as Converse would collect the point after winning all three matches.

Ungerboeck opened singles play in the #1 spot, while Sette (#2), De Simon (#3), Missan (#4), Kachuck (#5), and Sanchez (#6) rounded out the lineup as the Hawks fell in all singles matches.

UP NEXT

Chowan returns home to host Ferrum University on Wednesday, April 1, at the Rose Family Tennis Complex. Both the men's and women's match are scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
