MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University men's and women's tennis teams hosted Emmanuel College on Saturday at the Rose Family Tennis Complex. The women's team picked up a win in # 3 doubles and added a victory in the #6 singles position, while the men fell in both doubles and singles play.

WOMEN
Feidi Abreu Rodriguez and Victoria Videla competed in the #1 doubles spot, while Felicitas Grillo and Aime Vera competed in the #2 position. Diva Datta and Isabella Turner secured the #3 doubles point by default.
In singles play, Turner added another win in the lineup, as Aime Vera fought to a tie breaker. Emmanuel claimed the remaining five singles matches to take the 6-1 team win.
MEN
Chowan fell to Emmanuel 7-0 as the Lions claimed all doubles and singles matches. Marcel Ungerboeck and Tadeo Missan competed in the #1 doubles position, while David De Simon and Terumasa Inoue played in the #2 spot. Thales Sette and Tadeo Sanchez rounded out doubles action in the #3 position.

The Hawks return to action at home on Tuesday, March 24, hosting Barton College in another Conference Carolinas matchup. First serve for both matches is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the Rose Family Tennis Complex.
