Box Score 2 MURFREESBORO - The baseball team improved to 15-14-1 on the year after taking a doubleheader from Saint Pauls College this afternoon in CIAA action. Chowan won with game scores of 17-1 and 10-0 to move to 8-4 in the league. The Hawks pounded out 23 hits in the 17-1 win and held Saint Pauls to just three hits in the 10-0 shut out.

Nate Mitchell was one hit shy of the cycle after going 4-4 with two doubles, a triple, and a homerun in the 17-1 win. He knocked in six runs in the game.

Justin Bagbey all collected three hits in the win.
John Morris started the game, throwing two innings and striking out four.
Lee Dickens pitched two innings for the win. Dickens struck out four and gave up one hit in eight batters faced.
John Kellett was 2-3 with a homerun in the game.
Chowan's pitching held Saint Pauls to just three hits in the 10-0 nightcap win.
Will Medlin threw the first two innings while
John Atkins came in for relief for the win. Atkins struck out three and gave up one hit through two innings pitched.
Chowan, now in second place, heads into Saturday's match up with the league's top team in Saint Augustine's College. The doubleheader is slated to start at 1:00pm.
