MURFREESBORO - The Braves used a six-run, 8th inning to pull away from the Pride this afternoon with a final score of 11-5. The Braves tallied 11 hits on the day while the Pride banged out 10 hits.
Adam Buren started the game, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing 6 hits and 4 runs, all earned.
Randy Burden came in to relieve Buren and picked up the win. The win moves Burden to 5-2 overall. Burden faced 19 batters, striking out 6 and giving up 1 hit and 1 run.
Kenny Bragg continued his hot streak, picking up 3 hits out of 4 at bats and driving in 1 run.
Kirk Ball was 2-3 with 3 RBI while
Nick Hagler and
Harry Marshall each had two hits and 2 RBI. The Braves wrapped up their regular season with the win and move to 24-14 overall, 7-7 in the Dixie. The latter of which is good enough for a 4th place finish in the Dixie. The Braves will play the 1:15 game on Thursday afternoon in the Dixie Tournament, which will be played in Danville, Virginia at Dan Daniels Minor League Ball Park.
