The Braves hosted Newport News at a neutral site in Roanoke Rapids. The Braves only allowed 5 hits as they outscored their opponents 9-2. K.B. Bailey led the Braves by hitting 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Cary Wells also batted 3 for 4 while Grey Parnell added a solo Homerun. Alan Mitchell also hit a 2 RBI double in the 5^th inning. Pitcher Scooter Vlkojan was credited with the win.
