Jones Places Third as Hawks Close Out Hampton Farms Intercollegiate

AHOSKIE, N.C. –  The Chowan University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Hampton Farms Intercollegiate on Tuesday, closing out the event with the final 18 holes of round three. The Hawks' A Team climbed a spot on the leaderboard to secure a fourth-place finish, highlighted by under-par rounds from Gabriel Ansley (70) and Harry Jones (71), with Jones earning a top-three individual finish.

INSIDE THE CARDS 

A Team
Harry Jones led the Hawks with a tie for third-place, carding a 71 in the final round behind two birdies and steady play throughout. Gabriel Ansley surged early in round three with an eagle on hole two, finishing with a 70 to tie for 12th overall. Mika Buchholtz climbed nine spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 73, joining Ansley in a tie for 12th. Chance Lassiter jumped 11 positions with a 74, highlighted by three birdies, to finish 24th. Bryce Koehler rounded out the group, moving up five spots with a 76, capped by a birdie on his final hole.

B Team
Teddy Fee paced the B Team, moving up 10 spots after firing a 74 in the final round. He recorded four birdies—two on each side—to finish 40th overall. Adam Lankford carded a 76 to place 36th, while Ruben Gamez-Aranda finished 41st with an 81. Bjoern Holt posted an 83 to finish 54th, and Justin Peterson rounded out the group in 52nd after shooting an 85.

C Team
Noah Stewart led the C Team with a 76, tallying two birdies to finish 47th. Bryce Bennett also shot a 76 to place 51st, while Parker Brooks carded a 78 to finish 41st. Jacob Kearney shot an 83 to place 52nd, with EJ Proctor (62nd) and Jacob Lyles (63rd) rounding out the lineup.

The Hawks will turn their focus to the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship, set for April 19–21 at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, North Carolina.
