MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2025-2026 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week. For the week of March 18 – March 25, Harry Jones of the golf team and Tadeo Missan of the men's tennis team, have been recognized for their standout performances over the past week of competition.

Harry Jones competed in the CIAA Southern Division Golf Tournament, hosted by Fayetteville State University from March 23–24, where he led the Hawks with the lowest rounds and secured a fourth-place overall finish. Jones opened the tournament with an impressive 69, highlighted by a birdie and an eagle on the front nine, followed by two additional birdies on the back. He added two more birdies in round two to finish with an 81 before closing strong in round three with six birdies en route to a 74. The freshman from Liverpool, England earned All-Tournament Team honors for his outstanding performance and low round of 69.

Tadeo Missan also had a strong week on the court, going 3-1 in both singles and doubles play. He teamed up with Marcel Ungerboeck to earn a 6-3 doubles victory against Ferrum before claiming a 7-5, 6-3 singles win. Against Shorter, the duo picked up another doubles victory (7-5), while Missan dominated in singles with a 6-4, 6-0 win. He closed out the week against Barton with a 6-3 doubles victory and a commanding 6-2, 6-2 singles performance, consistently limiting opponents to just two sets.
