GOLDSBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University men's golf team closed out play in The Trojan Golf Tournament, hosted by the University of Mount Olive at Walnut Creek Country Club. The Hawks turned in a solid final round, with Mika Buchholtz staying in the lead for the Hawks on day two. He climbed three spots on the leaderboard as Chowan secured an eighth-place finish. Chance Lassiter and Adam Lankford also made moves in the final round, climbing four and three places on the leaderboard, respectively.

INSIDE THE CARDS
Mika Buchholtz led the Hawks, recording five pars and two birdies on the front nine. He finished strong with an eagle on the par-5 17th and a birdie on 18 to card a 75 and place 14th overall.
Bjoern Holt and Chance Lassiter each posted rounds of 78. Holt recorded a birdie on both the front and back nine to finish tied for 41st. Lassiter notched three birdies on the day—two on the front nine and one on the back—moving up four spots to finish 59th overall.
Harry Jones finished tied for 38th after carding a 79, highlighted by two birdies in his final round.
Bryce Koehler and Adam Lankford each shot 80 in the final round. Lankford climbed three spots on the leaderboard to finish 60th overall, fueled by a two-birdie performance on the back nine, while Koehler finished 32nd overall.

The Hawks will return to action as they host the Hampton Farms Intercollegiate in Ahoskie, N.C., at Beechwood Country Club on April 6–7 to round out regular season play. Chowan will then prepare for the Conference Carolinas Golf Championship, set for April 19–21 in Snow Hill, N.C at the Cutter Creek Golf Club.
