MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2024-2025 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of November 7th – November 14th, Lina Danna from the CU women's swim team and Diana Rodriguez from the volleyball team have earned honors for their efforts on their respective teams during the past week of play.

Lina Danna | Sophomore | Swimming | Rabat, Morocco

Lina Danna has been named Chowan Athletics Ace Hardware Player of the Week following her impressive performances in the pool. On November 9th, Danna posted a time of 58.71 in the 100 yard freestyle for the event win. She was also a member of the 200 free relay team that earned a runner-up finish, competing against William Peace and Barton.

Diana Rodriguez | Junior | #1 | Libero / Defensive Specialist | Volleyball | Tijuana, Mexico

Junior volleyball player Diana Rodriguez has earned the Chowan Athletics Ace Hardware Player of the Week honor in recognition of her performances in recent matches. In the Francis Marion match on November 9th, she totaled 46 digs and recorded 2 service aces. Just a few days later, in the match against UNC Pembroke on November 12th, Rodriguez added 15 digs, 3 assists, and another service ace to her stat line.
