Chowan Volleyball Wraps up Day Two at Glenville State Tournament

GLENVILLE, W.V. - The Chowan volleyball team fell to 0-4 on the year after dropping matches to West Virginia Wesleyan and Bluefield State University in the final day of play at the Glenville State University Volleyball Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORES

The Hawks battled in their first match of the day, pushing West Virginia Wesleyan to extra points in two out of the three sets in regulation. Rosa Lynn Collier and Madison Henderson each had a team-high eight kills while Lyniah Lee added seven kills in the match. Alexandra Liggeri tallied 18 assists while Brooke Hart had 13 assists in the tough-fought match. Diana Rodriguez had 18 kills on the back line while Hart added 10. 

Alyssa Thompson paced the Hawks offensively in their final match of the two-day tournament. Thompson tallied six kills while Henderson added four blocks. Collier and Lee added two blocks each in the match. Rodriguez picked up 20 digs
