MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Tennis teams travel to face Belmont Abbey in a Conference Carolinas contest on Saturday.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan women enter with a 0-1 overall record and a 0-1 record in league play following their loss to Mount Olive during the week.  Arina Karbolina and Margarita Lopareva took their opponents into the decisive third set.

The men dropped to 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in league play.  Dragan Omcikus picked up the win in singles action for the lone tally for the Hawks against Mount Olive.

ABOUT THE CRUSADERS

Belmont Abbey women are 1-0 on the season after picking up the 6-1 win over Mars Hill last weekend.

The men are 2-4 on the season after picking up a pair of wins against Hampden-Sydney and Mars Hill last weekend.

The Crusaders were picked to finish sixth and third respectively in the Conference Carolinas preseason polls.
