MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University men's and women's tennis teams hosted their final home match of the 2026 spring season on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks honored three seniors before the match who played in their final home match at the Rose Family Tennis Complex. Feidi Abreu Rodriguez, Tadeo Missan, and Tadeo Sanchez were all honored prior to the start of Saturday's match.
The Chowan women's team dropped their match 6-1 to the Patriots and the men battled to a 4-3 loss.

Women
The Chowan University women dropped their match with a final score of 6-1. The Hawks picked up the #2 doubles win after Aime Vera and Felicitas Grillo defeated their opponents 6-4. Vera and Grillo trailed 4-1 but battled back to take the match. Chowan's Marcia Aragon picked up the lone singles match win after beating Francis Marion's #1 singles player 6-3, 6-2.
Men
The men's team fell 5-2 after a tough battle in both singles and doubles. Thales Sette and Tadeo Sanchez teamed up to take the #3 doubles match 6-3. On the singles side, two Hawks picked up wins. David De Simon picked up the #3 singles win with a 6-4, 7-5 match win. Tadeo Missan won in three sets over his opponent in the #5 singles with a score of 6-1, 1-6, 10-7.

The Hawks wrapped up their 2026 regular season with Saturday's match. The men's team will prepare to participate in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament next week in Sumter, South Carolina.
