MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Swimming teams won the dual meet against the Pacers at home on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE LANES
200 Medley Relay:
The relay of Ashley Hernandez, Julia Stegmaier, Jasmine Gibson, and Grace Arredondo started off the meet with a first place finish in the relay with a time of 2:10.96.
On the other side, the men would claim the top spot in a group effort from: Andrew Simmons, Garrett Kirkland, David Clark and Marshall Stevens with a time of 1:57.37.
200 Free:
Atar Idrissi would start fast as she touched the pad first with a time of 2:22.87. Grace Arredondo and Keitra Lloyd finished second and third for the Hawks.
Shaine Olmstead earned the win in the event with a time of 2:06.65.
50 Free:
Zorey Sargent led the way with a first place finish with a time of 28.41. Ashley Hernandez posted a personal pool best time of 29.23 and MacKenzie Lucy (31.26) rounded out the scoring for the Hawks.
James Cameron just edged out teammate Lucas Pels with a time of 25.08 and 25.32 respectively. Justin Lough touched at 26.70.
200 IM:
Julia Stegmaier started off fast as she cruised away with a first place time of 2:37.72.
Igor Proszynski finished first with a time of 2:22.70, Andrew Simmons would finish second.
100 Fly:
Zorey Sargent earned another first place finish with a time of 1:09.08. Jasmine Gibson came in second, while Vivian Lyle finished fifth for the Hawks.
David Clark picked up the win by 0.76 in the event with a pool record time of 1:00.99.
100 Free:
Atar Idrissi picked up another win with a time of 1:05.35. Jeleah Delancy and Kyndra Jackson would finish in second and third respectfully.
Joshua Weidner, Marshall Stevens finished second and third to finish out the scoring.
100 Back:
Keitra Lloyd added a first place finish to her tally with a time of 1:16.53. Grace Arredondo earned a second place finish with a time of 1:16.83.
Lucas Pels, James Cameron, Justin Lough took the top three spots for the Hawks.
400 Free:
Igor Proszynski did not slow down as he touched the pad first with a final time of 4:20.03.
Marissa Mann and Ashley Hernandez came on top as they finished with times of 5:14.10 and 5:17.90.
100 Breast:
MacKenzie Lucy finished first with a time of 1:28.29 while Sarah Hull finished second to clean up the top two spots for the Hawks.
Garrett Kirkland just touched first as he brings home the win over William Peace with a time of 1:12.56. Marshall Stevens would finish third with a time of 1:13.32.
200 Free Relay:
In the final event for the women Atar Idrissi, Jasmine Gibson, Julia Stegmaier, and Keitra Lloyd took the first place finish comfortably with a final time of 1:59.51.
The men would follow suit as Justin Lough, David Clark, Lucas Pels, and James Cameron finished up the day with a final time of 1:40.91.
