KINGSPORT, T.N. - The Chowan University swim teams wrapped up the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's and Women's Swimming Championship on Saturday evening in record breaking fashion. Six Hawks swam to personal bests and senior Aleksei Belolipetskii added another medal to his collection. The most decorated swimmer in program history swam to a silver medal finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.12. That time was good enough for an NCAA B-Cut finish.

Six Hawks swam to personal bests on the last day of the four day meet. Ariana Vizcaya swam a time of 2:37.13 in the 200 backstroke, marking a personal best in the event. Hasnae Idrissi posted a time of 1:03.99 in the 100 backstroke, also a personal best for her. Stefan Reedy posted personal bests in the 100 and 200 backstroke with finishing times of 56.84 and 2:06.06 respectively. Sara Turanjanin posted a personal best in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:14.22 while Vanja Romic swam to a 100 freestyle time of 53.93 as a personal best.
Aleksei Belolipetskii's silver medal podium finish on Saturday marked his 14 All-Conference award. He leaves the program as the all-time most decorated swimmer with 14 medal finishes, 5 conference meet titles, and a Conference Swimmer of the Year honor.
