Chowan Swimming Face Pacers In Dual Meet

MURFREESBORO, N.C.-The Chowan Men's and Women's Swimming teams open 2020 with the gear up for their final push before Conference Carolinas Championship with another home meet on Saturday.  The Hawks welcome William Peace for a dual-meet.

HAWKS PROFILE

In the Hawks' last outing, Chowan would split the contest between Barton and St. Andrews with several Hawks placing within the top 5 in there respected races.  The Hawks picked up 4 first place finishes and look to continue the positive momentum in 2020.

Julia Stegmaier picked up two top-two finishes with a first and second place finish in the 100 Breast and 200 Free respectively.

Lucas Pels earned a first place and fourth place finish in the double-dual meet last week garnering the victory in the 200 Free.  Pels also helped the 400 Free Relay to a second place finish.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT

The men for William Peace pick up 3 wins against Warren Wilson College, Greensboro College, and Bridgewater College at the meet held In Greensboro last week. On the other side for the women they would go 3-1 on the day with their only loss coming against Bridgewater College.
