The Hawks will kick off the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship on Friday, April 26
th in the quarterfinals against the No.3 seeded Belmont Abbey.
The semifinals and championship match of the Conference Carolinas Tournament will be Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28 respectively.
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan finished the regular season as the No.6 seed with a 7-12 overall record and posted a 4-5 mark in Conference Carolinas in their second season of competition.
Nicosia, Cyprus native,
Edmond Aynedjian leads the team with a 14-4 record in at the No.1 singles position including a 7-2 record against Conference Carolinas opponents. Senior,
Adi Kaliakperov has posted a 13-4 mark this season in singles action.
Doubles duo,
Adi Kaliakperov and
Louis Proulx post a 10-7 overall record at the No.2 doubles position for the Blue and White.
THEIR OPPONENT
Belmont Abbey comes into the Conference Carolians Men's Tennis Championship with a 12-13 overall record and 6-3 mark in the league.
Chowan and Belmont Abbey battled to a 4-3 decision in favor of the Hawks on March 2 on home court. Chowan took two of the three doubles to start the match with a 1-0 lead.
