MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team earned the eighth seed in their first-ever appearance in the Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship.
The Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship is being held in Tigerville, S.C. on the campus of North Greenville at Ashmore Park. The Hawks will face Belmont Abbey in a play-in game.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan wrapped up the regular season with a 13-24-1 record and an 8-17 mark in Conference Carolinas action.
Marquise Lanier finished the regular season with a .407 batting average, 15 home runs, 13 doubles and 44 RBI.
Nick Rose is second on the team with a .327 batting average including 13 doubles, six home runs, and 32 RBI. Jack Kane is hitting .287 with nine doubles, eight home runs and 26 RBI.
Wyatt Beakler leads the team on the mound with a 4-6 record and 44 strikeouts. Vinny Puma is 2-1 with a 4.64 ERA in 14 appearances.
FIGHTING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey wrapped up regular season play with a 24-22 record and 14-10 mark in league action.
Ben Gobbel leads the team with a .341 batting average. Jakob Rolly and Mason Dodd supplied the power with 14 home runs each with 58 and 59 RBI respectively.
Griffin Baker leads the staff with a 6-2 record. Sam High and Sam Luchansky picked up five wins this season.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Chowan dropped the two meetings this season on April 12 in a league series. Belmont Abbey took the series sweep with a 9-2 and 8-1 victory in Murfreesboro.
