MURFREESBORO, N.C.-The Chowan Men's and Women's Tennis teams hit the road for an action packed weekend on the courts. Both programs with face North Greenville on Friday, March 22 before facing Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, March 23 in Conference play. The men will then return home to host Division III, Christopher Newport on Sunday.

Women's Tennis
Chowan currently holds a 0-9 overall record and (0-3) in the conference. The Hawks look to recover from a 6-1 loss to Barton on Tuesday afternoon.
Doubles duo,
Cynthia Carrier and
Arina Karbolina picked up the No.1 doubles match 7-6 (8-6) for the Hawks over the Bulldogs.
Senior,
Cynthia Carrier kept the momentum going by grabbing the No.1 singles 6-4, 6-2 for the Blue and White.
THEIR OPPONENTS
The Hawks will match up against North Greenville on Friday, March 22 before heading to Central, S.C. to face Southern Wesleyan in a conference match up on Saturday, March 23.
North Greenville comes into the contest, with a 2-10 season record and 0-2 in the league. The Crusaders look to recover from a 6-1 loss to Emmanuel on Tuesday.
Southern Wesleyan post a 1-7 overall record and 0-2 in the conference after falling short to Converse 7-0 on Wednesday.
Men's Tennis
The Hawks post a 2-8 overall season record and 1-2 on conference after slipping to the Bulldogs of Barton 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon.
Seniors,
Adi Kaliakperov and
Louis Proulx took home the 6-3 victory at the second doubles match over Barton.
Edmond Aynedjian defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-1, before teammate
Adi Kaliakperov followed with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 singles match.

After a close 4-3 match loss to Emmanuel, North Greenville enters the contest with a 2-9 overall season record and 0-1 in the league.
The Hawks will match up against Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, March 23
rd. The Warriors currently post 3-6 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
Chowan will wrap up the weekend by hosting Division III Christopher Newport on Sunday, March 24. The Captains post a 4-5 season record after claiming the 9-0 victory over Centre College.
