HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan enters the contest with a 9-11-1 overall record and a 5-6 record in the Conference Carolinas. The Hawks have dropped their last three league series.
Marquise Lanier paces the offense with a .432 batting average including 11 doubles, seven home runs and 23 RBI. Nick Rose is second on the squad with a .342 average with nine doubles, three home runs and 18 RBI.
Josh Vincent is 3-1 on the bump this season with a 3.38 ERA. Vinny Puma and Robert Burns are sporting a 1.69 and 1.98 ERA respectively out of the pen.
DOWNING THE TROJANS
Mount Olive enters the series ranked #17 in the NCAA with an 18-6 overall record. The Trojans are 8-3 in the Conference Carolinas, second in the league.
The Trojans have won their last three contests including a 9-8 victory on Wednesday against Georgia College.
JT Stone leads the team with a .430 batting average with seven home runs and 32 RBI. Joe Mason is hitting .368 with six home runs and 33 RBI.
Reed Parris leads the Trojans on the hill with a 6-1 record with a 2.82 ERA.
