HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan fell to 8-8-1 on the season after falling in the series against Limestone at home last weekend. The Hawks are 4-4 in league play this season.
Marquise Lanier is second in the league with a .452 batting average and 10 doubles. Nick Rose upped his average to .300 and leads the team with 16 RBI.
Out of the bullpen, Vinny Puma has been solid with a 2-0 record in six appearances with a 0.68 ERA and one save. Robert Burns posts a 0.82 ERA in five appearances.
DEFEATING THE WARRIORS
Southern Wesleyan is 10-12 on the season and 2-6 in Conference Carolinas play. The Warriors have won their last two contests, picking up the series finale against Erskine and a single contest against Toccoa Falls.
Julio Justo paces the team with a .333 average and 20 RBI. Quinton Bent has five doubles, four home runs and 20 RBI.
