HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan started off the season taking the series against Coker with a 2-1-1 record. The Hawks recorded a win and a tie on the opening day before splitting the final two games of the series.
Tyler Jones leads the team in hitting with a .500 average. Marquise Lanier paces the team with six hits including four for extra bases. Lanier has three doubles and a home run. Jones and Nick Rose have also went deep this season.
Josh Vincent and Jack Kane picked up wins on the hill last weekend. Vinny Puma, Robert Burns, and Trenton Lee pitched effectively in relief.
GOLDEN EAGLES NOTES
Clarion posted an 11-35 record last season and was 6-24 away from their friendly confines last season.
Nick Fugh led the Golden Eagles last season at the plate hitting .320 with 48 hits. The Golden Eagles hit seven home runs last season while allowing an ERA of 7.51.
