Box Score 2 ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.-The Men's and Women's Tennis teams competed in the North Carolina Wesleyan Invitational this past weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the Women:
Arina Karbolina went 3-1 for Chowan after she won the North Compass Draw Championship after defeating her Barton opponent 8-5.
Julieta Lecce went 3-1 losing the opening match 6-4, 6-0 to North Carolina Wesleyan. Lecce claimed the Women's A Draw Consolation Championship 8-3 over her Shaw opponent.
Also competing for the Hawks was
Margarita Lopareva who went 3-0 after securing the Women's B Draw Championship with a 5-7, 7-6(5), 10-7 victory over Mount Olive.
In doubles matches,
Arina Karbolina and
Julieta Lecce went 2-1 after winning the A Draw Doubles Consolation Championship 6-4 over Barton.
For the Men:
Santino Sormani picked up the opening round win 7-5, 7-6(4) against Acosta from North Carolina Wesleyan, before falling 8-2 to Barton in the Consolation North Compass Draw.
Chowan's
Dragan Omcikus, won the South Compass Draw opening round over Shaw 8-2, while teammate,
Timofey Tokmakov went 2-1 in the invitational after winning the B Draw Consolation 8-4 over North
Carolina Wesleyan.
Francisco Salvatori also competed in the invitational for the Blue and White.Â
