Box Score MURFREESBORO, N.C. -The Chowan Men's Tennis team dropped their opening conference match 8-1 to Mount Olive on Tuesday evening. This match served as the first Conference Carolinas contest for the season for both teams.

ON THE COURTS 
In Doubles: 

• The tough battle from the Hawks at the No.1 and No.3 doubles weren't enough to overcome the Trojans. Adi Kaliakperov /Ghassan Alansi and Rafael Goncalves /Louis Proulx fell 8-6 respectively. 
• Mateusz Izycki and Mariano Yeh picked up the 8-3 lone victory for the Blue and White at the No. 2 doubles 

In Singles:

• Ghassan Alansi dropped the No.1 singles 6-4, 6-4 before Adi Kaliakperov fell short at the No.2 singles match 6-4, 6-3. 
• Mateusz Izycki slipped to the Trojans 3-6, 6-3 at the No. 3 singles, in a 6-3 tiebreaker. 
• Rafael Goncalves was def 6-2, 6-0 at the fourth singles match, while Mariano Yeh fell to the Trojans 7-6 (1), 6-2 at the No.5 singles. 
• Louis Proulx dropped the No. 6 singles 8-5 for the Hawks
