HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan dropped to 5-9-1 on the season going 1-2-1 over the weekend against Goldey-Beacom. The Hawks dropped the first game of the series, 7-1 before falling 10-7 in the second game. CU picked up a walk-off win, 10-9, in the first game on Sunday before settling for a 3-3 tie in the nightcap.
Nick Rose produced a 6-8 outing on Sunday to up his average to .400 to lead the ball club. Robert Williams is hitting .319 with three home runs and 12 RBI. Marquise Lanier leads the team with five home runs.
Will Edwards is 1-0 on the season lowering his ERA to 2.16 in 8.1 innings. Josh Vincent is 2-1 on the season. Cody Smith is 0-2 on the season with a team-high 26 punchouts.
BULLDOG BITES
Barton is 7-10 on the season coming off a series loss to King (Tenn.).
Chase Riker leads the team with a .339 batting average with 19 hits and 14 RBI. Gatlin Pate and Colby Warren lead the team with two home runs each.
