MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team hosts Goldey-Beacom in a four-game series starting on Saturday, February 24 with a doubleheader.  The final two games of the series will be on Sunday, February 25.

Chowan is 4-7 on the season after taking the three-game series against Molloy last week 2-1.
Marquise Lanier leads the club with a .317 batting average, while producing 13 hits and four home runs.  Tyler Jones and Robert Williams is hitting .314 and .313 respectively.  Harry Markotay leads the team with 13 RBI.
Will Edwards is 1-0 on the season lowering his ERA to 2.16 in 8.1 innings.  Josh Vincent is 2-1 on the season.  Cody Smith is 0-1 on the season with a team-high 18 punchouts.
LIGHTNING FACTS
Goldey-Beacom enters the contest with a 0-3 record falling in a series against Lenoir-Rhyne last weekend.
Jay Smith leads the team with a .455 batting average and five hits.  The Lightning pitching staff has a 13.95 ERA in three games this season.  GBC has scored six runs this season.
