HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan is 2-4 on the season and is coming off a 1-3 weekend series against Lock Haven at home.

Marquise Lanier has the hot bat at the plate so far hitting .421 with three home runs and eight RBI.  Harry Markotay tallied eight RBI on the season.  Anthony Jefferson is second on the club with a .368 average.

Cody Smith is in search of his first win of the season tossing 9.2 innings and has struck out 14.  Josh Vincent is 1-1 on the season punching out 11 in 7.0 innings of work.

PATRIOTS FILES

Francis Marion is 5-2 this season and on a three game win streak.  Trey Chapman leads the team with a .471 average.  Gage Taylor paces the offense with eight RBI.

The Patriots pitching staff has allowed five home runs this season.  Isaac Rodgers is 2-0 on the season with 12 strikeouts.

SERIES IN REVIEW

Chowan and Francis Marion will meet for the seventh and eighth time in the series.  Francis Marion leads the overall series 5-1.  The Hawks took the first ever meeting in 2008 winning 7-6 but has lost five straight.
