NCAA Championships Start Today For CU Men's Tennis

MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University Men's Tennis team appears in the NCAA Division II Tennis Championships for the first time on Tuesday, May 9 against Ferris State in the Sweet 16.  First serve is at 4pm at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

HAWKS PROFILE
Chowan advances to the NCAA DII Sweet 16 for the first time in program history after defeating West Virginia Wesleyan in the NCAA Atlantic II Regionals last week, 5-1.  The Hawks come into the NCAA Championships with a 16-7 record and ranked #41 in the nation according to ITA rankings.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Ferris State advanced to the NCAA DII Sweet 16 after defeating Grand Valley State, 5-1, in the Midwest II Regionals.  The Bulldogs have won 13 straight matches and have posted a 19-2 record this season on their way to a #16 national ranking.  The Bulldogs compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
