Box Score HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Chowan University men's lacrosse team fell 17-8 in non-conference action to UA-Huntsville on Wednesday evening. The Hawks fall to 0-5 after Wednesday's loss. CU's Nick Lavoy found the back of the net four times to lead the squad offensively. 

UA-Huntsville out shot the Hawks 50-37 in the match. Chowan collected 33 ground balls as a team and were 21 out of 21 in clear attempts through sixty minutes of play. 

The Chargers jumped out to an 8-2 first quarter lead and took a 9-5 lead into the halftime break. They would go on to outscore the Hawks 8-3 in the second half to get the eventual 17-8 win. 

Lavoy posted a team-high four goals and handed out an assist He also grabbed up eight ground balls. Anthony Alfonso, Jr. scored one goal and had two assists. Josh Nicholson, Noah Holloway, and Jacob Mitchell each added a goal. 

The Hawks (0-5) will travel to White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia on March 11th to play Ohio Valley University in a neutral location, non-conference match up.
