Box Score FLORENCE, SC - The Chowan University baseball team suffered a 9-0 loss to Francis Marion University on Tuesday night. Playing in the first game of the two-game series, the Hawks were held to six hit in the contest. Six FMU pitchers combined efforts to keep the Hawks off the board for nine innings.
Francis Marion put up three runs in their first at-bat and added six more runs over the course of the game.Chowan stranded 13 base runners over nine innings.
Will Edwards (0-2) picked up the loss after throwing 4.0 innings. He scattered four hits and gave up one earned run while also striking out two Patriot batters.

Connor Arcobasso went 2-4 at the plate with a double.

Marvin Harrell Jr., and
Harry Markotay each tallied a hit in the game.
FMU scored nine runs off of nine hits. Only three of the Patriots runs were earned runs. William Robbins went 2-5 with two runs and two runs batted in to lead the Patriots offensively.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow, Wednesday, February 15th, at 5:00pm. Forecasted inclement weather has forced the originally scheduled 2:00pm game time to be pushed to 5:00pm.
