Box Score 2 MUFREESBORO , NC – The Chowan University baseball team moved to 20-20 on the season after sweeping a doubleheader from Bluefield State University on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks won game one 4-0 and game two 9-1. The Hawks got two solid pitching performances from seniors 
Bobby Mason and 
Scott Edge to help propel them to their 19
th and 20
th wins of the season. The team honored eight seniors prior to the start of the game: 
Scott Edge, 
Blake Eure, 
Will Gurganus, 
Josh Martin, 
Bobby Mason, 
Austin McGhee, 
Carter Siweck, and Wade Wyatt.
Senior hurler 
Bobby Mason pitched his third win of the season after throwing a seven inning, four-hit, shut out. Mason struck out three Blues players in route to the 4-0 win.  
The Blues starting pitcher Jacob Muncy held the Hawks to two hits through six innings of work. The Hawks got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when 
Will Gurganus scored on an infield fielding error. Chowan added three runs in the bottom of the third inning, highlighted by a two-run homerun by 
Aaron Flanagan. Mason held off the Blues batters to roll to the 4-0 win.
The Hawks bats livened up for game two as they collected ten team hits in a 9-1 win. Senior 
Scott Edge pitched his fourth win of the season in game two. He scattered five hits over six innings of work and struck out seven Bluefield State batters.
Connor Arcobasso, 
Zach Cooper, and 
Josh Martin each tallied two hits in the win. Arcobasso added three runs scored a run batted in. Marvin Harrell finished 1-2 with a run scored, a stolen base, and an RBI.
The Hawks and the Blues will wrap up the four-game series on Sunday, April 17
th at Hawkins Field. First pitch is slated for 1:00pm at Hawkins Field.
