ROCKY MOUNT, NC- The Chowan University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at the hands of Barton College in a marathon match at Belmont Farms Racquet Club.  The Hawks and Bulldogs began the match at 3:00pm and didn't finish into well into Monday night.  Results were not available until Tuesday morning. 
 
Tristan Martin and Sasha Kirsanov teamed up for the Hawks' lone doubles victory over Max Leppert and Jorge Pradilla.  The duo topped the Bulldogs 8-6.  Pedro Aiala and Farid Hajizada dropped a 9-8 (7-5) decision over Rafael Ruiz and Jake McCartney while Nick Genest and Yaki Pintado defeated Ivan Doubograev and Danilo Galovic 8-4. 
 
Farid Hajizada earned the Hawks only singles victory of the match by defeating Ruiz 7-5, 6-0.  Aiala, Martin, Kirsanov fell in singles play while Doubograev and Carlos Ramirez's matches were unfinished. 
 
The Hawks move to 4-1 on the season after the loss.  Barton improves to 4-0.  Complete results are listed below:
