Ryan Moore Powers Hawks by Saint Augustine's

CU's Ryan Moore slammed a grand slam to put the Hawks up 6-5 after trailing at one point 5-0
Box Score RALEIGH, NC - The Chowan University baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Saint Augustine's University this afternoon after beating them 9-5. Chowan took two games on Saturday and rallied from behind to beat the Falcons for their 22nd win of the season. The Hawks improve their CIAA record to 13-4 after today's victory. 

The Hawks (22-20 overall, 13-4 CIAA) rallied in the late innings for their third win in two days over the Falcons. The Hawks scored two runs in the sixth inning, and a grand slam homer by Ryan Moore in the seventh inning put the Hawks ahead 6-5. They added three runs in the eighth inning for the victory.

CU's Ryan Bradshaw started the game on the mound but it was Evan Hart (2-1) who picked up the win in relief. Hart threw the final three innings of the game and held the Falcons scoreless. 

Josh Catalano led the Hawks offensive attack after a 3-6 performance at the plate. Brandon Mack was 2-6 with two runs scored and an RBI. Moore ended the game 1-2 with four RBI. 

Chowan will travel to Elizabeth City on Tuesday for a make up game with ECSU. They will return to Hawkins Field on Wednesday, April 11th to host Saint Andrews in a doubleheader set to start at 1:00pm.
