Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 RALEIGH, NC - The Chowan University baseball team improved to 21-20 overall and 12-4 in the CIAA after sweeping a doubleheader from Saint Augustine's University this afternoon. Chowan won with final game scores of 5-3 and 5-2. The Hawks used a four-run first inning to propel them to the first game victory and CU's left handed hurler, John DesChamps, held the Falcons to just four hits in the night cap win. 

Brett Garrett picked up his 6th win of the season on the mound in the first game. He got run production directly out of the gate after his teammates put up four runs in the first inning. They added an insurance run in the top of the 7th when Ryan Moore drove in Josh Catalano with a single to centerfield. Garrett scattered eight hits and struck out four for the win.

Moore ended the game 3-4 and Catalano went 2-3 with two runs scored. 
 

DesChamps held the Falcons to four hits in the 5-2 second game win. He fanned six Falcon batters in route to his team-leading 7th win of the season. Dallas Perdue drove in two runs on two hits and Colby Wiggins added two hits for the Hawks. 

Chowan will face off with the Falcons on Sunday in the final game of the three game series. First pitch is set for 2:00pm.
