Box Score MURFREESBORO - The Chowan University baseball team improved their overall record to 19-18 and their CIAA record to 10-4 after beating Lincoln University (PA) 9-3 on Sunday afternoon. Chowan came away with the three-game sweep after today's win.
John DesChamps went the distance on the mound to pick up his team-leading 6th win of the season. He got the run support he needed after the Hawks put up 13 hits, including a three-run homerun by
Justin Bagbey.
The Hawks scored three runs in the second and fourth innings to help garner today's win.
Dallas Perdue drove in two runs off three hits and scored a run in the win.
Evan Seymour also had three hits in the win.
Brandon Mack and
Brett Overton went 2-4 at the plate and Bagbey finished up 1-5 with three RBI.
DesChamps threw a complete game for his sixth win of the year. He scattered nine hits and gave up one earned run. The lefty also struck out four Lion batters.
Kyle Brooks pitched the loss for Lincoln. He also threw a complete game and gave up 13 hits. Demetrius Morris paced Lincoln after he went 3-4 in the lead off spot. Kevin CiCali added two hits for Lincoln.
The Hawks will travel to Mount Olive on April 3rd and 4th for a two-game series with the Trojans in their next outing.
