#6 Mount Olive Drops Hawks in Twinbill

Nate Stanton was 2-2 with an RBI in today's second game
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MOUNT OLIVE, NC - The sixth ranked Mount Olive College Trojans handed Chowan two losses in a nonconference baseball doubleheader this afternoon. The Hawks fell with final game scores of 10-3 and 8-3 to move to 23-19-1 on the season. The #6 Trojans picked up their 40th win of the season after the doubleheader. The Hawks will continue with their road trip as they travel over to Pembroke to play against UNC-Pembroke in a Sunday afternoon doubleheader. 

Anthony O'Brien started the game on the mound for Chowan in the first game. He threw 3.1 innings, giving up five earned runs on nine hits. Josh Powell pictched in relief, throwing the last 2.2 innings and holding the Trojans hitless. John Kellett was 2-4 and Justin Bagbey was 2-3 with an RBI. William Ward was 1-3 with an RBI in the game. 

Nate Stanton was 2-2 with an RBI in the nightcap loss. Jordan Williams was 2-3 with an RBI and Brett Overton was 1-3. Robert Weaver pitched the loss after giving up six runs on nine hits. Ryan Bradshaw and Tyler Chelenza pitched an inning each in relief of Weaver.
