AIKEN, SC - #10 USC-Aiken powered by Chowan 7-0 in the second game of a two-game series tonight. Tonight's non-conference loss drops Chowan to 7-13-1 while the Pacers improve to 18-7 on the year. The Pacers held Chowan to four hits over nine innings and used a five-run 8th inning to ice the game. 

Lee Dickens picked up the loss on the mound after throwing the first two innings of the game. He gave up one run on two hits and struck out two Pacer batters. John Morris , Andrew Hales , and Tyler King all pitched one inning in relief of Dickens, shutting down the Pacers offense. Anthony O'Brien tossed the final innings of the game, giving up five runs. 

Nate Mitchell , Justin Bagbey , Zac Caito , and Justin Shockley each had a hit in the loss. 

Chowan will travel next to Shaw University on Saturday for a CIAA match up. The doubleheader is slated to start at 2:00pm in Raleigh. They will return home on March 22nd to host Elizabeth City State University in a make up game. First pitch is set for 2:00pm.
