PEMBROKE, NC - The volleyball team dropped their seventh match of the season after doing battle with UNC-Pembroke tonight in non-conference action. The Hawks fell in a toughly fought, five set match with final set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21, and 2-15. The Hawks move to 19-7 on the year after tonight's loss.
Three Hawks hit in double-figures on the night but UNC-P rallied in a big way to take the final set 15-2. They out hit the Hawks 8-1 in the final set.
Victoria Lewis paced the Hawks while Turned also turned in 21 digs and two blocks in the match.
Chowan will take off until next weekend when they make a three-match swing to CIAA opponent Livingstone College on the 16th and follow that up with a tri-match at North Greenville.
The Hawks move to 19-7 overall while UNC-Pembroke moves to 8-12 on the season.
