DANVILLE, VA - The Braves took two conference games this weekend against Averett University. In game one the Braves held off a late offensive attack from the Cougars for a 7-5 win.
Adam Buren pitched 7 innings, scattering 7 hits and striking out 3 batters.
Randy Burden picked up his 4th save of the season after coming in for relief, giving up 1 hit and striking out 1 batter.
Brian Haynie was 4-6 while
Clint Sanders extended his hitting streak to 7 games with 2 hits.

Doug Warren each added 2 hits in the win. Game two on Sunday also saw the Braves come out with a victory as they soared past Averett 7-4. Danny Petitte picked up his 7th win of the season after pitching a complete game, scattering 6 hits and striking out 5 batters.
Kenny Bragg led the Braves' offensive attack by hitting 4-4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.
Clint Sanders extended his hitting streak to 8 games with 1 hit.
