MURFREESBORO - The Braves moved to 17-9 on the season and 1-3 in the Dixie after losing to CNU 3-2 this afternoon. The Braves scored both runs in the bottom of the ninth when Clint Sanders lined one to left field with one out. Jarrod Tanner followed that hit up with a single of his own to move Tanner to second. Doug Warren flied out then Kenny Bragg singled to left field, outfielder TJ Jones bobbled the ball scoring Sanders. Kirk Ball singled to score Tanner with two outs. The Chowan rally ended when Seth Lucas grounded into a fielder's choice to end the game at 3-2. Randy Burden (3-2) picked up the loss after throwing 7 innings and scattering 6 hits while striking out 6 batters. Mike Cosby picked up the win after throwing 7 innings and giving up 2 hits and striking out 9 Chowan batters. Mike Tignor picked up the save in relief. Clint Sanders went 2-4 with 1 run scored. Kenny Bragg went 2-4 with 1 RBI and Kirk Ball was 1-4 with 1 RBI.
