MURFREESBORO - The Braves fell 2-2 on the season after losing to Guilford College in baseball action this afternoon. The Braves jumped out early as
Jarrod Tanner belted a two-run shot, his second homer of the season, over centerfield fence to give the Braves a 2-0 after one inning. The Quakers matched those runs in the top of the second inning and would score five runs in the third to take the lead 7-2. The Braves answered back in the bottom of that inning by scoring 4 runs. Down 10-9 in the eighth, the Braves' Brandon Towlin scored on a
Seth Lucas chopper over shortstop for an RBI single and to tie the game at 10 apiece.
Randy Burden struck out the first two batters in the top of the 9th but two costly errors allowed Guilford to score and take the lead 11-10. The Braves could not muster the offense to take the lead in the bottom of the 9th and fell with a final of 11-10.

Clint Sanders each had two hits.
