KANSAS CITY, MO- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCCAA Division I Men's Soccer All-America honorees. Chowan University's
Terell Williamson earned NCCAA Division I First Team honors for the second time in his career, as announced Thursday.
Williamson, a sophomore from Alexandria, Virginia, competed in 22 games this season for the Chowan Blue and White. He scored 19 goals for the Hawks this year with six game-winning goals. Williamson adds NCCAA All-American honors to a growing list of accolades including: NCCSIA All-State Second Team, NCCAA South Region First Team, NCCAA South Region Player of the Year, NCCAA South Region All-Tournament and D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team.
The Chowan men's soccer team ended the season with an 11-7-5 overall record. The Hawks clinched the NCCAA South Region Championship title for the first time in program history and competed in the NCCAA National Championship tournament.
Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Mo., the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to educate coaches, encourage excellence and serve the soccer community. 2016 marks the 75th anniversary year of the NSCAA enhancing the game through coaching education.
