MURFREESBORO, N.C. - Freshman soccer sensation, Cameron Letterlough, continues to rack up the post-season awards after recently being named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's All-Region First Team. Letterlough becomes the 14th Chowan men's soccer player to garner this post season honor since 2014.

Letterlough helped the Hawks to a 10-4-4 season and 3rd place Conference Carolinas regular season finish. The Hawks were ranked consistently in the regional rankings in part due to Letterlough's 15 season goals. Letterlough led the league in goals scored (15), goals per game average, and points per game. The freshman from Asheboro, North Carolina (Reynolds High School) came into Chowan as the state's leading high school goal scorer (76 season goals).

Earlier this season Letterlough earned Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, Freshman of the Month, and Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year. He also earned Conference Carolinas First-Team All-Conference.

Letterlough started in 17 matches for the Hawks this season. He notched 6 game-winning goals in 2025, which also put him atop of the conference leader board in that category.

Under 12th year head coach Chris Whalley, the Hawks have maintained a consistent regional and national post-season award cycle presence. At least one Chowan men's soccer player has been named D2CCA All-Region every year since 2017, with 2025 marking the 8th consecutive season with a D2CCA All-Region award winner.
