Hawks Expand Athletic Training Staff with the Addition of Assistant Athletic Trainer Hailey Duzenack

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Hailey Duzenack joins the Chowan Athletic Training Staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Duzenack comes to Chowan after completing her Master's degree in Athletic Training at Colorado State University Pueblo.

While at Colorado State University Pueblo, Duzenack gained extensive clinical experience working with a variety of collegiate and high school athletic programs. She worked with NCAA Division II programs including women's volleyball, men's wrestling, women's basketball, men's basketball, softball, football, track and field, and cross country. Duzenack also gained experience at Colorado College, working with NCAA Division I women's soccer, Division III men's lacrosse, and women's volleyball programs.

Duzenack's clinical background also includes working with multiple high school athletic programs, including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, baseball, softball, and tennis. She developed experience in injury evaluation, rehabilitation programming, therapeutic modalities, protective bracing, taping techniques, concussion management, and return-to-play protocols. Additionally, Duzenack gained primary care experience at Family Care Specialists, assisting with patient evaluations, physical examinations, orthopedic injuries, and overall health and wellness appointments.

A native of Colorado, Duzenack graduated from Colorado State University Pueblo through the 3+2 Athletic Training Program, earning a bachelor's degree in Health Science in 2024 and completing her master's degree in Athletic Training in May 2026. During her time at CSU Pueblo, she was a recipient of the Presidential and First-Generation Scholarships and graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors.

"We are excited to have Hailey joining our staff," stated Lisa Bland, Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine. "Her knowledge, experience, and skill set will help meet the needs of our student-athletes and provide valuable support to our athletic training team."

Duzenack's educational background and dedication to sports medicine will allow her to make an immediate impact at Chowan as a member of the Athletic Training Staff.
